Del Monte, a new client brought us aboard to design and implement in-store point-of-sale as well as national advertisements and online initiatives. It was a good fit as the agency and my department are setup for this type of work. The sense of trust we established with Del Monte prompted the client to ask if we would like to design and produce an in-store cooking video. Being that this was not something the agency normally handled there was some hesitation. I assured the AE on the account that my department could handle the work and we seized the opportunity. Utilizing past agency experience (I had worked on video as a senior art director, creating storyboards, going out on video shoots and directing video editing sessions) we were able to deliver a professional video on time and under budget. Fast-forward a year and our department now regularly works on videos for many multiple clients including, Heinz, Sara Lee and Del Monte. As the video job requests multiplied my department expanded our capabilities to include in-house editing, hiring talent and script writing.
